My Hair Regrowth
Journey: What I’m Doing to Restore My Hair
Introduction
Losing my hair was one
of the hardest experiences I’ve been through, but I refuse to let it
define me. After months of frustration, sadness, and research, I’ve
committed to a hair regrowth plan that prioritizes scalp health,
nourishment, and gentle care. If you're struggling with hair loss, know
that you are not alone—and that recovery is possible. Here’s what I’m
doing to regrow my hair and restore my confidence.
1. Targeted
Supplements for Hair Growth
I’m supporting my hair
from the inside out by nourishing my body with the right nutrients. Two
key supplements I’ve added to my routine include:
- Collagen Peptides
– Collagen helps strengthen hair, improve elasticity, and support
overall scalp health. (Let me know I can hook you up with the
link if you want)
- Hair, Skin &
Nails Vitamins – These contain biotin, folic
acid, and essential vitamins to promote healthy hair growth and
minimize shedding.
- Saw Palmetto & Pumpkin Seed Oil Supplement - Help block hormones and promote hair regrowth
2. Kirkland Signature Minoxidil 5% Foam
Minoxidil is one of
the only FDA-approved treatments for hair regrowth, and I’ve
incorporated Kirkland Signature Minoxidil Foam 5% into
my daily
routine. I apply it directly to my scalp to help reactivate hair
follicles and encourage new growth. Consistency is key with this
treatment, so I’m committed to using it every day. I know it's
for men but my Dermatologist and research says to use the 5% as 2%
isn't as effective and a marketing gimmick. Know that Minoxidil
is a LIFELONG commitment and read about 'Dread Shed' here.
3. A Gentle Hair
Care Routine
I’ve completely
changed how I care for my hair to prevent further damage and encourage
healthy regrowth. My new routine includes:
- Special Regrowth
Shampoo & Conditioner – I’m using a
shampoo and conditioner specifically designed to support thinning hair
and nourish my scalp. I use this every other day
- Head & Shoulders Tea Tree Oil Shampoo
- Tik Tok Viral Regrowth Shampoo & Conditioner (I use this every
single day, except sundays and wednesdays when I use Nizoral)
- Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo: I use this twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays
- Loreal Everpure Bond Repair Shampoo & Conditioner
- I alternate every other day between using this and the Pur'ador I
follow up either one with the Head & Shoulders I use that one every
day
- No Tight Hairstyles
– I’ve stopped putting my hair in ponytails and buns that put stress on
my already fragile strands.
- Silk Sleep Cap
– Sleeping in a silk cap helps reduce friction, preventing unnecessary
breakage and dryness while I sleep.
- Hair Oiling - I use this to scrunch out the crunch, I do an oil treatment the night before wash day
- Batana Hair Oil - I alternate this one to scrunch out the crunch and to do an oil treatment every night before I wash my hair in the morning.
- VanillaSwirl Weekly Hot Oil Treatment This powerhouse blend of Castor, Rosemary, Pumpkin Seed, Coconut, and Jojoba oils is designed to nourish your scalp, strengthen follicles, and promote healthy hair growth. Warm it up for 15 seconds before applying for deeper absorption and maximum benefits. Use once a week for softer, stronger, and longer hair! 💛
- Deep Conditioning - I do this once a week SheaMoisture's
Intensive Hydration Hair Masque with Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil
deeply nourishes dry, damaged hair, restoring moisture, softness, and
shine. Packed with natural ingredients, it helps strengthen strands,
reduce breakage, and leave hair feeling luxuriously smooth and hydrated.
- Protein Treatment - SheaMoisture's
Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate + Repair Protein Power Treatment
strengthens and restores dry, damaged hair with a powerful blend of
proteins and nourishing ingredients. Used weekly, it helps rebuild hair
structure, reduce breakage, and improve elasticity for healthier, more
resilient strands.
4. Scalp Health
& Hydration
Healthy hair starts at
the scalp, so I’m making sure to keep mine in the best possible
condition:
- Scalp Massages
– I gently massage my scalp daily to increase blood circulation and
support follicle health.
- Hydration
– Drinking enough water is essential for hair health, so I’m making
sure to stay hydrated throughout the day.
5. Patience
& Consistency
Hair regrowth takes
time, and I know this won’t be an overnight fix. I’m committed to
staying consistent with my routine, tracking my progress, and focusing
on overall wellness.
